Our commitment goes beyond ensuring your daughter’s academic excellence; we aim to offer an experience that transcends traditional learning methods. Our Sixth Form is dedicated to creating happy, successful, and confident young women, ready to make their mark on the world.

There were no doubts where my daughter was going for Sixth Form, she was brought up by SHS and she belongs to your community until the very last day.  It is a great pleasure to see a happy, confident and thriving child maturing day by day under the careful supervision of the SHS team!” – Year 11 Parent

A Welcome from the Director of Sixth Form

I wish you a very warm welcome to the Sixth Form at Shrewsbury High School.

The next two years of your education represent the most exciting chapter in your education so far, a time of discovery, and the opportunity to spread your wings.  It is almost entirely different from the years you have had in your school so far.  Our Sixth Form offers the perfect balance of independence and guidance, and gives you the skills and opportunities to become confident, independent young women, supported and mentored so that you can make a significant and very positive impact upon the work around us, both now and in the decades ahead.

Furthermore, we offer a bespoke programme, tailored to you and which gives you the chance to experience opportunities far beyond academic studies: workshops to open wide your thinking, the chance to grapple with and explore new ideas, opportunities to help you succeed under pressure, and how to thrive in the cut and thrust of a board room situation.  Skills for creative thinking, confident presentation, and thriving in challenging interviews will be provided, along with networking, negotiating, and crisis-solving techniques.

We will help you become confident, empowered young women, ready for the exciting world that awaits.

Director of Sixth Form
