In our dedicated nursery, we provide an inspirational and supportive environment in which every child is nurtured and individually valued.
We know that the experience your child has at their Pre-School will form the keystone of their education and achievement for life.
Nursery is a happy and extremely caring environment that offers a gentle transition from home to school. Our self-contained purpose built nursery is next to the main school house allowing easy access to all Prep School facilities. With their own woodland, vegetable plot, outdoor storytelling area and large secure playground the children enjoy a huge variety of explorative and creative activities.
The early relationships children have form the blueprint for future relationships: working with parents to build partnerships is an important part of life at Shrewsbury High Prep School’s Nursery.
Children join Nursery from the age of three for a minimum of 5 sessions (one session = half a day) – having the flexibility of morning, afternoon or all day sessions. From Reception, this increases to a full school day and the Nursery team work closely with the other Prep School staff to ensure a smooth transition from Nursery to school.
Shrewsbury High Prep School’s nursery welcomes boys and girls from the age of 3. We accept the government’s childcare vouchers and offer wrap around care from 8am – 6pm.
