Ms Sharrock, Head of Shrewsbury High commented ‘We are delighted to report that Shrewsbury High School passed its recent Inspection, from the Independent Schools Inspectorate, with absolutely no actions for follow up.  I am immensely proud of all of my staff who strive for excellence every day in order to provide the best possible learning environment for our pupils.  I am also grateful for the support of our parents, governors and pupils who make us the strong community that we are.

This is a very exciting time for the High School and a successful inspection report is a great start to the New Year and recognition of our strength as we move forward with our development plans.’ The ISI is the body approved by the Secretary of State for the purpose of inspecting schools which are members of the Independent Schools Council to report on the extent to which they meet the Independent Schools Standards. The ISI inspects schools every three years.

This was a compliance-only inspection and as such reports only on the school’s compliance with the standards. The standards represent minimum requirements and judgements and are given as either met or not met. The report confirms that Shrewsbury High is fully compliant, and has met all of the required standards. No further action is required as a result of this inspection.
