As a school that is based right in the heart of Shrewsbury, we are committed to offering exciting outreach activities and programmes for both Primary and Secondary school students.

For Primary School pupils, at our Prep School located on Old Roman Road, we offer:

  • Gym, Yoga, Language, Enviro and Art Tots
  • Lego Mindstorm Robotics Challenge – year 5 and 6
  •  Maths in Motion Day
  • Year 4 Christmas Lectures
  • Primary School Art Challenge and Workshop
  • Plus a range of sports competitions and activities throughout the year

Whilst at the Senior School located on Town Walls, we offer:

  • Year 5/6 Sports Outreach – High 5
  • KS2 – Modern Foreign Languages : French through Drama
  • Tailored workshops in Classics, Maths, Geography, RE, PSHE and Drama (Theatre in Education).
  • Year 6: Festival of Languages
  • Year 5: Crimebusters’ Science Day

For Secondary School pupils, we offer:

  • Young Oxbridge Conference
  • Bi-annual BioMedical Conference (in conjunction with Keele University)
  • Bi-annual MMI Mock Interviews Workshop and BMAT preparation course
  •  Biomedical Society meetings
  • Lecturefest – a series of speakers for students with curious minds
  • A Level and GCSE Art Show and Workshop
  • Year 8 Creative Writing Workshop
  • Biannual Aspire Careers Conference
  • Year 7 Sports Festival
  • EPQ Workshop (Year 12)
  • Classics Speakers – 2019: Natalie Haynes (Thursday 24 th October)

In 2019-20, we are proud to offer for the first time our series of conferences under the heading of “Women Mean Business” which will offer girls a chance to meet strong female role models from the worlds of Business, Politics, Healthcare, Finance, Law, Science, Sport, Engineering and Technology. These will take place over three years and will be open to any girlin Year 9 or above (and parents).
