Period X

Building self-efficacy and preparing students for an ever-changing world.

At the heart of every week every girl takes part in Period X, our enrichment programme which takes inspiration from the world around.  It constantly evolves to meet the needs of our students by focusing on the four key themes of Mental Wellbeing, Physical Wellbeing, Personal Development and Creativity.

Period X is relevant, dynamic, engaging and motivational and designed to strengthen and deepen the mind and body of our students, foster life skills and help them to develop values, capacities and interests beyond the classroom.

Period X is composed of four key themes. Sessions within these themes are age appropriate and as the girls move through the school they cover topics that are relevant to their age and the situations they are likely to encounter at these points.

  • Mental wellbeing is a normal part of every day life for us all.  We give pupils the language and knowledge to understand the normal range of emotions that everyone experiences.  This enables pupils to articulate how they are feeling, develop the language to talk about themselves, their health, their emotions and judge whether what they are feeling is appropriate and proportionate for the situations they experience.

    Sessions include:

    Positive Healthy Relationships
